Everyone, who makes a New Year resolution to get fit and healthy, feels enthusiastic and excited. But as time goes by the zest begins to wane and it becomes harder to keep moving forward. Why?

The answer is simple; Many have experienced the feel good of starting a new fitness program but not many have experienced the feel GREAT of finishing one!

If you have never achieved your fitness resolution, then you won’t be able to visualize succeeding. It will be very difficult to maintain consistency in daily exercise that is required to feel GREAT for finishing.

Statistically, only 8% of those who make a New Year’s Resolution achieve it, and in all cases, it’s no secret: they consistently stick to daily exercise or have a mentor to guild them through.

The problem many people have in achieving fitness resolution success is that they focus on the destination (goal) without ever considering the road trip (daily exercise).

It’s like booking and paying for an expensive vacation to a distant and exclusive resort, then sitting back and wishing yourself there without physically traveling…unfortunately there is no way around exercise, you have to move to get to where you’re going.

Going alone and praying for a miracle doesn’t work

We all have a fantasy for a weight loss pill or magic fitness potion that will instantly make our transformation possible without the inconvenience of asking for help.

The truth is; of those who achieve fitness resolutions, none were superhuman; they all felt the shame of being unfit or above a healthy weight, they all had to swallow the bitter pill of humility to ask for help and commit to daily exercise.

The body is a fantastic machine; if it’s exercised, it will become stronger and fitter. If it’s nourished with whole foods, it becomes healthier.

It really is that simple, if you can’t get to my classes, I encourage you to organize a group of friends and commit to just 9 minutes of daily exercise.

You will be amazed by how quickly you can start to experience the feeling of fitness and then plan to finish each program to reach your goals of fitness and good health  – FINALLY!

What holds us all back from our fitness is the belief that the next “new” thing will be the one that will manifest our fitness dream easily.

I am no stranger to putting my hopes in the hands of false prophets. They are exciting, charismatic, and beautiful to look at.  However, I have learned (the hard, expensive and time-consuming way),  no one can exercise for me, and consistent daily exercise is the only way to live life with good health.

Nowadays, when I am feeling the need for false hope…I buy a lotto ticket… It reminds me that my chances of winning are slim, but the odds are better than winning my fitness with no exercise….EXERCISE for well-being is a sure thing!
